Is this record?

Today – a nice warm day in May, it is 17° Celsius – I may have a record, so far it is a record anyhow.
When I drove home in the afternoon I measured an average consumption of:
ONLY 1.8 liter/100 km over a distance of 46 km. The journey was partly country road approximately 20 km (at 70 km/h), the rest 26 km was on highway (at 90 km/h)

Time for the long run test!

I intend to test while driving back and forth to work, over a period with different weather conditions. Each day I travel approximately 90 kilometer to work and 90 kilometer back home. This means I do not expect the battery charge to last the whole journey, I know now that it will be empty after 50 kilometer (that I will also test).
My journey is a mixture of country roads and highways.

Driving style:
When driving on country roads I have an average maximum speed of 70 km per hour, and when driving on highway I maximize at 90 km per hour

Tomorrow I will do a “reference driving” – that is I will drive back and forth with the same driving style with “normal” Prius conditions – that is I will not charge the extra battery, so I can see what consumption “is normal”.

Afterwards we made the same journey home.

(As an ordinary Toyota Prius)

The consumption was then 4,2 liter per 100 km

So consequently with same driving technology - and on the same driving distance - we have reducered the consumption from 4,2 liter down to 2,3 liter per 100 km

After 47,7 km the new extra battery was empty

After aprox 30 minutes we have had an average consumption of 2,3 liter per 100 km

We decided to take a trip from our home to the coast - Ramsvik
